Wendy Lynne Rinehart a.o.c.a. is an Award Winning Doll artist who creates fantasy and portrait figures. In  2010 she received the People's Choice, and Professor's Row Awards at the Enchanted Doll Artist Conference in Albuquerque New Mexico.
Born in Toronto she pursued an art career from High School through Art College and on to post graduate studies at the Edinburgh College of Art.

She creates in several medias and her work reflects a very personal sense of humour towards a maturing life and its resulting attitudes. Often whimsical in nature her goal is to evoke an emotional reaction from the viewer through the use of colour, texture and wonderfully intricate detail.

Often inspired by an emotional response to a found object or idea that is then translated into a moment in time, Wendy explores combinations of metal, polyclay, paperclay, cloth, gourds and soft sculpture to create a character that draws the observer into a fantasy voyage of their own creation.
